Changan Nevo Q05 Launched in Chitwan

Rajhans Automobile Pvt. Ltd., the authorized Changan dealer for the Chitwan region under MAW Vriddhi Autocorp Pvt. Ltd., has introduced the Nevo Q05 in Chitwan. The compact electric SUV joins Changan’s growing new-energy vehicle lineup in Nepal.

The Nevo Q05 is available in two variants, with the Q05 Max priced at Rs. 48.99 lakh and the Q05 Ultra at Rs. 51.99 lakh. Both versions use the same battery, motor and front-wheel-drive configuration, with the Ultra adding more equipment and convenience features.

The Q05 uses a 51.9 kWh LFP battery supplied by CATL and a 120 kW front-mounted electric motor. The battery supports 3C fast charging, with DC charging rated at up to 162 kW. Under suitable conditions, the Q05 can charge from 30 to 80 percent in around 15 minutes.

The electric motor produces enough performance for a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 8.1 seconds. The Q05 has a claimed WLTC range of 405 km, while energy consumption is rated at 12.9 kWh per 100 km.

Changan has integrated the battery with its Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology, combining CATL battery cells with the company's battery safety system.

Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the Q05 has a 2,735 mm wheelbase, helping maximise cabin space. The rear seatbacks offer two reclining positions of 28 and 33 degrees, while the seats use a nine-layer ergonomic construction.

The SUV also offers a 540-litre dual-level boot, including 90 litres of concealed storage. There are up to 29 additional storage areas throughout the cabin, while Changan says more than 67 points have been addressed for sound insulation and noise reduction.

Depending on the variant, the Q05 can also be equipped with a 1.8-square-metre panoramic glass roof with a powered sunshade. The cabin gets a 14.6-inch 1080P touchscreen powered by an automotive-grade MTK8675 processor based on a 7 nm architecture. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available.

Higher variants get up to 18 driver-assistance functions along with a 540-degree panoramic viewing system, adding to the Q05's technology package.

Changan has also recorded strong demand for the Q05 in China. According to the company, cumulative sales of the model crossed 125,000 units by the end of August 2026, while it has ranked first in China's compact SUV segment for four consecutive months.

The Nevo Q05 was officially unveiled at a launch event in Chitwan attended by FNCCI Chitwan President Chirinjibi Subedi, CADA President Indra Regmi, Rajhans Automobile Chairman Dilip Thanet, MAW Vriddhi Director Parth Sikaria, Vice President Sandeep Chatterjee and CEO Gyanendra Bdr. Chand.
